About the Authors

Ellen K. Curry, author of MBA Fundamentals Business Law, is a Kaplan University professor in the paralegal and business departments, as well as in the Graduate School of Business. She has run a general practice of law for over 25 years in the Iowa and Illinois and has contributed to higher education in the community by instructing in traditional, weekend and online classes at local and national universities. She lives in Davenport, Iowa.

Paul W. Thurman, author of MBA Fundamentals Statistics, is a Columbia MBA valedictorian, service award winner, and multiple teaching-award recipient, and has extensive management consulting and line management experience helping a variety of start-ups and Fortune 500 companies realize value from innovative and coordinated business, operations, and technology strategies. Paul currently teaches strategic management and data analysis courses at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and at its Mailman School of Public Health. In addition to his full-time faculty appointments, Paul serves as a clinical professor and affiliated researcher at the National Cancer Institute's Center for Cancer Research at the National Institutes of Health. Paul received his BS in mathematics from Stanford University and his MBA from Columbia University (with highest honors). He lives in Scarsdale, New York.

Timothy E. Flood, PhD, author of MBA Fundamentals Business Writing, teaches business writing, oral communication and presentation skills. His research interests include the roles of media and technology in both interpersonal and corporate communication, diversity, internationality and global cultural fluency in business, and the technology-driven evolution of language and communication strategies. Dr. Flood currently serves as an adjunct assistant professor of management and corporate communication at University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler MBA program. He lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Vijay Kanabar, BSc, MS, M.B.A., PMP, PhD, co-author of MBA Fundamentals Project Management and a certified Project Management Professional, is Director, Boston University's Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM); Director, Boston University's Metropolitan College's Project Management programs; Academic Coordinator, BU Global Project Management program for international students studying in US; and Associate Professor of Computer Science. He has been recognized with awards for outstanding teaching and research, and has consulted with several Fortune 500 corporations as well as other organizations worldwide, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Staples, United Way, State Street, and Fidelity Investments. He received his BS in India, his PhD in Canada, and his MBA and MS in the United States.

Roger D. H. Warburton, PhD, co-author of MBA Fundamentals Project Management, is a professor at Boston University's Metropolitan College. He teaches project management and has more than 20 years experience in senior management positions.
